The Bendy Brand is a small UK business made up of 4 caring members of staff, working from and shipping orders from the Bendy Brand/Studio in the beautiful city – Bristol. The brand is very organic we even make our unique Bendy Brand prints in house!

Bendy Kate, is the founder of and also the designer for The Bendy Brand, she is also a performer & instructor specialising in pole, aerial, hand balancing and acrobatics. She’s been lucky enough to headline at events around the world she has won titles such as; World Pole Sport and Fitness Champion 2014, IPSF World Pole Sports Runner Up 2013 and UK Professional Pole Championships 2011, 2012 and 2013. On the other hand Kate is a passionate teacher; she uses her vast knowledge of the human body, her gymnastics background and experience to travel the world teaching masterclasses. Combining her experience and her BSc Sports Therapy and Rehabilitation degree (first class) she creates learning resources to help athletes further their understanding on flexibility and other gymnastic disciplines. All 3 of her books were written whilst travelling the world on planes and trains, using her vast knowledge to try and help others in flexibility, handstands and injury prevention. It is with this mixture of skills and experience in the industry as an artist that Kate decided to create The Bendy Brand in 2015 with the aim to produce luxury dance wear that was functional, educational books, downloadable classes and beautiful stretching equipment.

Rach is our assistant manager for the Brand and Studio, she has been working hard for the team for the last half a decade and we’d be a bit lost without her! Rach is also a circus performer and instructor, so also understands that training clothing needs to be functional as well as beautiful!

Ruth is our resident artist & member of staff. Not only does she hand draw our organic, home made prints but she also works behind the scenes packing orders, marketing, replying to your emails and much more! Ruth and Bendy sit down to brain storm what Summer/Winter prints to do next, Ruth is let loose with pencil and paper or alcohol inks, then Bendy takes the artwork and adapts it into digital form, repeats it to make a print!

Maja is our amazing web woman! She created this website and helps keep it ticking as well as being the mastermind behind our wheel of fortune sales. Maja is not only a member of staff but also a life long brand ambassador. She was one of our biggest customers from the start, and has become one of our best friends in the process! Maja works remotely for the brand all the way from Switzerland!

We pride ourself on being unique, hard working & different to all the other brands out there. All of the Bendy Brand products combine style with function, love and care. Our brand started off with our designs being made by just two seamstresses in the UK. Over the years the brand grew and went from strength to strength. We now get some of our collections made overseas by trusted companies we have worked with for years and years. Our books and our foot stretchers are all handmade in the UK. We try to re-use and recycle all the packaging we receive. We haven’t had to buy bags to keep clothing clean since 2015! We use environmentally friendly cardboard Jiffy bags, we even hand print them with our own artwork, every package is truly special to receive! Garments are wrapped in tissue paper – not plastic! And we don’t use tags on clothing as the first place they would go to is the bin! We never throw away any clothing. We inspect all our garments thoroughly, even with the tiniest fault or mark they do not pass the inspection. We always try to find new homes for these garments at by selling them discounted in lucky dips etc.

The sizing guide for the garment is designed for athletic female bodies, taking our musculature into consideration (slightly broader upper back etc). Our sizing is numerical and runs alongside major sportswear and dancewear brands. You can find the size guide for each garment on the product listing.
